FuturTech Sponsors Read Across America ProgramMarch 8, 2013, NEWARK, DE… Delaware State Education Association (DSEA) and FuturTech Consulting congratulate the winners in the annual Read Across America video/essay/poster contest. Grades K-8 had the option of creating a video or poster depicting the anti-bullying message in Dr. Seuss's classic book "Horton Hears A Who". Grades 9-12 had the option of creating a video or writing a research paper on Dr. Seuss's book "The Butter Battle Book". Winning videos will be posted on the DSEA website, www.dsea.org, and on DSEA's You-Tube page. DSEA will also show the winning videos at its spring conferences and annual meeting. Partnering with DSEA to promote this contest are the News Journal Newspapers in Education program and Futurtech Consulting. The News Journal ran this ad with photos of the winners and their art: Grand Prize Winners: K-8 Category - Video: Brandon Saldan and Joseph Tew, 4th grade, Thurgood Marshall Elementary. Their teacher is Nancy Ventresca. K-8 Category - Posters: Jasmine Stewart, 4th grade, Wilmington Manor Elementary. Her teacher is Shirley Stewart. 9-12 Category - Essay: Mikayla Ockels, 9th grade, Sussex Central High School.
