FuturTech Consulting Awarded Kent County Contract

FuturTech Consulting was recently awarded an Information Technology contract by Kent County, Delaware. In March of this year, the Kent County Information Technology Office issued a Request for Proposal for software and hardware for an offsite data backup and replication system to support its Novell network, with Linux, Windows servers and GroupWise. FuturTech Consulting was awarded the contract in late October.

FuturTech will provide Kent County the ability to store data and to restore it quickly and reliably on demand. The County sought a data backup and replication solution that would eliminate contention problems, complete nightly backups in a timely fashion and offer protection for its critical data. FuturTech will be providing Kent County a low cost solution using technology that allows room for growth, performs incremental backups and provides the ability to perform finds and restores of files from an offsite location, meeting Kent County's requirements at every level. Installation is scheduled for November 2011.
